Hope in a Hopeless World

Hope in a Hopeless World

Luke 24. 13-35; I Corinthians 15. 12-22.  The two men on the road to Emmaus said, of the crucified Jesus, “We had hoped…” In fact, though, the crucified Jesus was also the risen Jesus. He, and his resurrection, and his resurrection as the pattern for ours, gives us hope. Truthfully, the world left to itself is hopeless. But Jesus Risen means Hope.
